Class: Greek Theatre

Feb 26 2017 - 4:00pm - 6:00pm

For the ancient Greeks, "going to the theater" was more than just an enjoyable way to spend a few hours -- the tragedies and comedies were an integral part of civic and religious life. In this class we'll be discussing the Dionysian festivals at which the plays were performed and the religious and political contexts that shaped ancient drama. Come play Stump the Classicist with Via!
