For the Greeks, Dionysos represented many things, among them wine, theatre, madness, healing, joy, and the wild, unstoppable life force that flows in every living being. In this celebration, we honor the wild god with joy and catharsis, reaching for the power to overcome forces that seek to restrain, dishearten, and oppress us and move towards liberation.
