Ritual: Rite of the Bear

Ursa Major, the Great Bear, has been guiding humanity in the Northern Hemisphere since we first noticed how she shows the way and “turns the axis” of the heavens.  Join us as we work magic invoking this primal force, both as constellation and ancient great bear spirit.  Wear something that won’t mind a close encounter with clay, blackberries, and honey!

Folks attending via Zoom might like to have:

• • water for purification (and cleanup)
  • berries, honey, nutella, or other bear-offerings that might be fun to smash and smear
  • candle for the Chalice, Hekate, Great Bear
  • 3×5 index card or piece of paper to write a sigil on
  • scratch paper or journal to develop ideas for intention and sigil construction
